Shogi Pieces: Satsuma Boxwood, Artist UnknownUnsigned shogi pieces.I initially thought they might be by Sanson, but the calligraphy is exceptional. They are large, wide, and thin, likely made from wood from the early to mid-Showa period. They seem to have been made in the Kansai to Chubu region, and are definitely not from Tendo.
